Battery Certificates - Quick Start Guide
Let's get you up and running with Lyteflo Battery Certificates!
Lyteflo makes it easy to assess battery health of Electric Vehicles.
Follow the steps below and you'll have your first Battery Certificate in minutes!
- Log into the Lyteflo Portal. You can get help logging in here.
- Confirm whether your vehicle is supported. You can find a list of vehicles supported for Battery Certificates here.
- Find the OBD-II diagnostic port in the vehicle:
Non-Tesla Vehicle: Most vehicle OBD-II ports are located in the driver's footwell area, beneath the dash and to the left of the steering column.
Tesla Vehicle: Testing a Tesla battery follows a different process. You can get help connecting your Lyteflo Device to a Tesla here.
- Connect the Lyteflo Device. Plug the device into the OBD-II port. The vehicle will provide power to the device and it will automatically connect via built-in cellular or Wi-Fi. A solid blue LTE Status LED light means the device is connected to LTE and a solid green LTS Status LED light means the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Open the 'Scan' area at the bottom of your screen to see your scan progress. Once your device is connected to the network it will automatically begin the scan. For certain vehicles you may need to manually enter the VIN or select the vehicle's trim. After the scan is complete, you can access the Certificate here or in the Certificates section.
- Check the Battery Portal and pull up the Certificates page. Your Battery Certificate will appear at the top of the list within 2 minutes.
- Disconnect the Lyteflo Device. Once your Certificate appears in the Battery Portal, you're good to unplug the device. That's it!
